ASUS have released a teaser video concerning the launching date of Zenfone 6 . This is coming barely few days after we wrote about some journalists receiving a magazine that has an advertisement at the Mobile World Conference which stated that Zenfone will be officially launched on May 14. But a teaser post by the company via twitter have cleared every misunderstanding regarding the launching date. The company have revealed that the flagship will be launched on may 16.

The video revealed all the previous models of the Zenfone flagship – dating from 5^th gen ago. According to ASUS, “the revolution is coming” and the new Zenfone 6 flagship (note that it is not the old Zenfone 6) is going to “defy the ordinary”, whatever that means.



If you analyze what Asus said in the teaser video, it means that we might see a new device with unusual form factor – might be slide or an elevating mechanism seeing that the top of the pictured handset has a stage light.

We are expecting the device to arrive within 2 to 5 months times so we are hoping to see more leaks concerning  the device before the official event which is scheduled to take place in Valencia , Spain.

Barely few weeks after Qualcomm released the snapdragon 712, the company are now preparing another chipset for cheaper phones – like Android Go and other phones. The chipset which is called QM215 might not be included in the snapdragon line. The chip might be marketed as the Qualcomm Mobile 215 Platform instead.

The chipset is related to the Snapdragon 410 and 425 chipsets even regardless of the name. The chip will still come with quad – core CPU (most likely with the Cortex – A53 cores) clocked at 1.3GHz and a GPU clocked at 650MHz. For now, we cannot confirm if the chip will be produced on a 28nm process just like the 410/425 or something more modern.



Some reference designs with 1GB or 2GB of old LPDDR3 RAM and 8/16GB storage is being tested by Qualcomm. And that matches the Android Go theory. Huawei is rumored to be involved in this project. They are checking out phones with 720p+ screens and finger print readers.

Barely few days after Vivo announced its sub brand iQOO, the company have already started pitching the phone to partners. This is coming when we are still trying to know the correct pronunciation of the Vivo iQOO. But pictures from the Chinese social network account in Weibo revealed that the device will be a foldable device.

Looking at the renders, you will see that a tall phone will transform into a bigger tablet device. The device will fold out while keeping the screen outside. That is unlike the expected fold – in device from some manufacturers.



The Chinese social network did not reveal any other information about the device. But there are rumors going online that the price of the smartphone could be well above CYN7,000 (that’s more than $1000). The pictures above is just renders with no buttons or ports. So, we think that it might come with the design of the APEX 2019 which is keyless or maybe the device is still in the early stay of development.

Sony will be unveiling the Xperia XA3 series soon. The device will be coming in three variants – Vanilla, Plus and Ultra models. There has not been a clear distinction between the Vanilla, Plus and Ultra models of the Sony Xperia XA3 even when the device will go “CinemaWide” just like the predecessor XZ4 flagship. But according to rumors so far, one of the models will come with 5.9 – inch screen (Vanilla) while the other one will come with 6.5 – inch screen (ultra).



These models are shown by the side by side 3D renders above. when the proportion of the screen is measured, the screen diagonal matches the rumored 5.9 – inch and 6.5 – inch. And both screens will come with 21:9 aspect ratio.

If you set the size of the device aside, you will still see that the two models seems to be identical with both having side mounted finger print reader with the same number of cameras at the front and at the back (there is a dual selfie camera at the XA2 Ultra while there is a single camera in the XA2).



The XA3 Ultra comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top which makes the model unique. We can still see two grilles on the bottom which might be the stereo speakers (not sure).

The phone will likely come with snapdragon 660 chipset. There will also be a 23 + 8MP sensors on the dual camera at the rear.  And the screen will likely come with 1080-pixel resolution.
