A source from Mopar Insider has revealed that Dodge will unveil a Charger Widebody for its 2020 model in SRT Hellcat and R/T Scat Pack trims. This means that they would copy the trim and the aesthetic formula used on the Dodge challenger. There would be a unique suspension tuning on the Charger widebodies and it will also get the same 305/35 ZR 20 Pirellis as seen on the challenger widebodies. But it will be covered around cool, dual five – spoke designs that are 11 – inches wide.
People have been saying all kinds of things about the Widebody charger for the past few years and most of these comments comes with photos. An Instagram user “gtpprix” caught a standard Dodge Charger wearing challenger widebody wheels, spaced so that there is a rubber extension beyond the fence. Few months later, the video of the car was also revealed by another YouTube user.

Information from the Mopar Insider revealed that the engine and outputs wont change on the charger widebody version. What it means is that, the car will still make use of the 485 – horsepower, 6.4 – liter V8 in the R/T Scat Pack, and the 717 -HP, 6.2 – liter V8 in the charger Hellcat.
We expect the looks of the car to change. We expect the front and the rear to look different so as to differentiate the model from the other older models. The car might come with a new dual – snorkel hood grille and re-positioned intakes plus tweaked side sills. We will know all that very soon.

This model will relate to the answer that head of Dodge Steve Beahm gave to AUTOMOBILE recently when he was asked about how the company will maintain momentum in difficult days. He replied “Our job was to ask, ‘How do we differentiate within the brands that are going to remain passenger car – brands? The only thing we do is to make our vehicle look different”.
We await more information about the car in the following months.
